Q: John wants to purchase an annual subscription to his favourite magazine. The price is $3.50 per issue. Write the two numbers John needs to multiply to figure out the sum, then solve it for him. 

Q: Margaret has 17 grandchildren, all of whom are bringing 25 sandwiches and cakes to her golden wedding anniversary party. How many sandwiches will their be for the guests altogether? 

Q: 85 members of parliament are standing for re-election. A TV pundit claims that each has received an average of 2,500 votes. How many votes did the MPs receive in total?
