Aside from his involvement with media and the scientific community, Daniel travelled Europe extensively, where he taught math to children and adults alike. It was his 'on the ground' experience as a teacher which made Daniel realize the significance of his unique status as a healthy, articulate 'native learner'.

Optimnem was created to teach and promote better thinking and learning skills. At heart, we believe everyone has the right to learn how to unlock their personal potential. 

Our unique 'fluid thinking' approach involves the ability to imagine, dream, be creative, observe, connect and be perceptive. Fluid thinking helps connect us all to our rich ancestral legacy of first-hand, experiential learning - at one time, passed down from generation to generation through word of mouth alone.

We can contrast fluid thinking with the second-hand opinions and stale prejudices that many people mistake for real thinking. It is this second kind of thinking, which can often lead to bigotry and intolerance. Being unable to think or learn first-hand is a serious handicap, both for individuals and society at large.
